We are halfway through the current session of Prosperity Accountability Groups. This is a small group of women who meet weekly over the course of a couple of months. We share with each other what we are out to accomplish and what has stood in our way so far – then we talk it out, get ideas from the group and go away each week with new perspectives and a new action to take.
I was reminded how it doesn’t really take a huge thing to get me moving again. Or maybe it is a huge thing to have a few women who are really listening to my struggle and are cheering me on to success. I feel motivated to have a great week and tell them all about it and all the things I accomplished.
The amazing thing is, others in the group have been sharing about things moving for them too. There’s some magic in the caring and the sharing. Is this how women are motivated, through each other’s warm support? I’m okay with that. And I am more motivated by this atmosphere of caring support than I ever was with past methods of pressure and intimidation to get things done.
I feel like 2017 is going to be a stellar year. We just need to take care of each other.
