We all want to feel good everyday and it doesn’t always happen. Life gets serious a lot of the time and we forget the little things we can do to take care of ourselves. If we don’t take care of ourselves, we have less to give to our families, friends, jobs and passions. Here are some ways you can feel good everyday.
1. Have an abundance of affirmations on hand.
Affirmations are personalized statements to empower you and steer your life in a direction of your choosing. Repeat them to yourself often. “I am great at my job.” “I have all the tools needed for success.” “I am exactly the kind of mother I want to be.” Choose what empowers you and what steers you toward your goals or intentions. You can have printouts hanging on the fridge or bathroom mirror for daily reminders.
2. Sing out loud.
You can do this while alone or not, as you choose. Singing brings joy or sadness, it will evoke whatever it is that your mind craves to release – like a daily cleansing of the throat, lungs and heart. So sing, sing, sing!
3. Eat food that makes your body and mind feed good.
Make sure you feel good when you are eating; why eat a good healthy salad if your mind is bitter and resentful about it? Feeling gratitude for the food to are about to eat helps clear any resentment. You don’t want to eat that!
4. Give your time to people who inspire you.
Those who rise your spirit up and remind you of the best parts of yourself will hold the space for your prosperity. We all have strong points and weak points – put your focus on the strong points and watch them grow stronger.
5. Take more risks.
Make an action everyday on something that is outside your comfort zone. Feel your hair stand on end and the tingle of excitement on your finger tips. After all, that is what living life is all about, isn’t it?
